How we work

How Connected Capacity works

Connected Capacity starts with the decision the client needs to make.

01

Define the real question

Understanding the business, institutional, or project objective helps define the regulatory question and keeps the analysis focused on what the client actually needs to resolve.

02

Build the regulatory picture

We then develop the regulatory picture around that decision. The analysis identifies the governing framework and considers the facts that determine how it applies in context.

03

Work with the specialists

Power-sector issues frequently depend on technical, economic, or operational information. Connected Capacity works directly with the relevant specialists to understand that information and determine how it affects the regulatory analysis.

04

Turn analysis into action

The final work product is designed around the action that follows. That can mean a recommendation, regulatory pathway, filing, procedure, testimony, implementation tool, or other decision-ready product. When the organization also needs to build internal capability, the engagement can incorporate training or reusable tools.

Collaborative expertise

Power-sector regulatory work often crosses professional disciplines. Engineering, economics, finance, operations, or local law can materially affect the regulatory analysis even when regulation remains the central issue.

Connected Capacity leads the regulatory work and collaborates with appropriate specialists when the engagement requires expertise outside that scope. Their input becomes part of the analysis so that the final recommendation reflects both the regulatory framework and the circumstances in which the client has to apply it.
